Need to transfer a binary file to a locked-down machine that you access through Windows Remote Desktop?<\/p>\n

In my case, I was lucky enough that the machine has WinZip on it. WinZip extracts uuencoded files. First I extracted the file on my local machine:<\/p>\n

  1. Download a free uuencode utility<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. UUEncoded the binary file<\/li>\n
  3. Open the encoded file in Notepad<\/li>\n
  4. Copy its contents into the clipboard<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Then I recreated the file on the destination machine:<\/p>\n

    1. Open Notepad on the destination machine<\/li>\n
    2. Past the contents into Notepad<\/li>\n
    3. Saved the file with a .uue extension<\/li>\n
