I was amused to read the editorial <a href=\"http:\/\/informationsecurity.techtarget.com\/magItem\/1,291266,sid42_gci1084097_login,00.html\">&#8220;Broken Windows, Indeed&#8221;<\/a>.  The authors of a Windows\/Linux security study had hidden the fact that the study was paid for by Microsoft.  The editor somehow managed to use that fact as a slam against Linux enthusiasts; I&#8217;m still confused how she managed that contortion.  She then cited facts from the study that I thought had already been thoroughly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/security\/security_report_windows_vs_linux\/\">debunked<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My confusion dissolved as I continued to flip through the magazine.  I saw three full-page ads for Microsoft.
