Smoking Law

I’d like to propose a federal regulation: make it illegal to sell cigarettes to anyone born in 1990 or later.

The current regulation will keep those 15 year-olds in line for a couple years until the states can get their act together with the new rule.

Of course, certain evil companies would use their powerful lobbyists to prevent such legislation. And this proposal goes against the popular philosophy that considers all freedoms to be equally important. (I wonder if a smoking libertarian sees the irony in “give me liberty or give me death”.)

Oh well. It makes me feel slightly better to propose it.

Clearly the UK stole this idea from me.
