Not like those bad kids
Once when I was shopping at Aldi, there were some children running around and making noise. I overheard a woman talking to her infant:
You’re such a good baby… not like those bad kids… no, a good baby.
I was mildly pleased. This parent obviously knew what good standards of behavior were and disapproved of those children. Clearly she would train that child well as he grew.
Later as I passed her again, I realized that those “bad kids” were hers.
