I want my extra monitor to be the main monitor for my laptop
When I’m at the office, I keep my laptop off to the side with my work monitor in front. I prefer that Windows treat the big monitor as the main one so that my taskbar and popup messages, etc. all show up there. To do this, I went to Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > ATI Displays (this obviously only works with an ATI card). Then I clicked on the little “1” in the “monitor” section, which set the monitor to display 1 and the laptop panel to display 2.
