Crystal JNDI Tomcat

Tomcat’s JNDI service cannot currently be accessed outside the container.

To have a Crystal report use Tomcat’s JNDI connection, set the connection name to the JNDI name (e.g. “java:comp/env/jdbc/myconn”)

Apparently the way it works is that Crystal will first attempt to lookup the JNDI name. Then if that doesn’t work, it will use the provided connection URL and classname.

Note that there are other problems with Crystal and JNDI.
