Form with the same identity is already deployed on this farm

I tried to deploy a new InfoPath form that I’d created based on another one and I got this error:

Form with the same identity urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:MYFORMID is already deployed on this farm.

I had been trying to import the .xsn file I was developing, rather than a .xsn file that was published for importing.
