Warning dialog on closing Outlook

Whenever I close Outlook, I get this warning dialog:

Are you sure you want to permanently delete all the items and subfolders in the “Deleted Items” folder?

That’s because Outlook is configured to:

  1. Delete items on close
  2. Prompt for confirmation on delete

To turn it off, go to Tools > Options > Other and either uncheck “Empty the Deleted Items folder upon exiting” or click “Advanced Options” and uncheck “Warn before permanently deleting items”.
